Have you played 'Robot Unicorn Attack 2'? No? It's a game by Adult Swim and PikPok that's somewhat ludicrous, yet epic at the same time. The synthpop music and ambiance make it a very memorable game with a sort of cult following to go along with it. So, what crazy game comes after metallic unicorns, giant rock-men that shoot lasers, and flying humpback whales? Let's throw in some yetis, spike walls, and a very angry boulder with game play that feels like 'Temple Run'.
The game starts out with a rather dapper looking boulder sitting atop a mountain peak, looking down into a valley and a small town far below. In the town stands another beautiful boulder with a pink bow, who obviously adores her soul mate looking down upon her from afar. Suddenly, she blows up, leaving a statue of a general in the blast's wake. The boulder up on the mountain becomes blind with suffering and rage. So begins our story.
'Giant Boulder of Death!' is the newest game from PikPok, and carries on their quirky humor. You will be serenaded by yodelers as you hurtle yourself down a mountainous peak, obliterating anything and everything in your way, be it a lumberjack, cow, soldier, or a number of unlockable items and creatures. As you tilt your device to the right or left, you can roll into obstacles, and even jump over some to avoid destruction of yourself. Rack up the points, and you'll be able to unlock new achievements and objects to further increase your score. Due to Newton's Second Law of Motion, you speed up as you careen further down the hill, increasing the odds that you'll hit one of the many obstacles that the general is putting up to not only stop, but destroy you.
'Giant Boulder of Death!' is out now on the Google Play store. Pick it up before it rolls away.
