Creative Endeavors allows for art expression with Albany area special needs kids and adults

Creative Endeavors, located in Ballston Spa on Front Street, has grown from a "day without walls" art program to an art studio for residents of Saratoga Bridges to not only create but sell their art. Recently, they have expanded the types of programs to include music development, poetry classes, woodwork and crafts, photography, and jewelry making.

Recently, in December, Creative Endeavors was kind enough to host an FET (Family Education and Training) Session for Aim Services, Inc. During the two hours, children who receive Aim Services, were allowed, along with parents and siblings, to create two special christmas ornaments. Faculty on staff assisted children with creating a popsicle stick snowman and a clear ball penquin. The children used paints, felt, craft balls and other craft necessities to make their ornaments.

Creative Endeavors was started not too long ago, and it was an expansion of Saratoga Bridges' "Backroom Artist Group", which was a day program started in 2004, for a small group of individuals who want to explore their creativeness through art.
