Creations in Catering captures national award

Oahu-based Creations in Catering, (, received one of the top honors at the recent National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) Convention, held in Baltimore, MD – often referred to as the “Oscars of the catering world” by those in the catering business.

The prestigious 2013 NACE award was for Best Off-Premise Catered Event, Budget over $100,000 (not including wedding reception events). NACE honored CIC’s event planning, food and beverage presentations and overall quality implementation of “Sharing Memorable Moments with Emme & Friends”, the annual gala dinner, silent auction and fundraiser event for the FilCom Center which took place on November 9, 2013.

CIC worked with honoree Emme Tomimbang, FilCom Center, celebrity chefs Alan Wong, Roy Yamaguchi, DK Kodama, Philippe Padovani, Paul Rivera and their respective staffs to organize a tasting of Filipino inspired dishes and wines for key FilCom donors and supporters. The end result was a fantastic menu which was perfectly executed and enjoyed by the more than 400 attendees at the November event.

In addition to the recently awarded “Best Off-Premise Caterer”, CIC has a history of garnering awards spanning almost 20 years of its 29 year history including the following;
