Whether you want to celebrate the fact that you got through February 14th with your heart intact, or you need a pick me up after all that chocolate and champagne, Create: Fixate has the answer. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, the nonprofit arts organization will present I ART YOU on Saturday February 15, 2014.

In addition to Create: Fixate’s signature blend of vibrant artwork and eclectic music produced by local talent, the Valentine’s weekend event will feature holiday-related activities that encourage love and/or cure the V-day blues. There will be a singles mixer from 7:00 to 9:00 guided by Matching Up, a Beverly Hills premiere international, personal matchmaking company, along with other fun exercises to encourage meeting new friends. Feeling a bit down because you didn’t get that beautiful flowery valentine you were hoping for? No worries, make the perfect one for yourself at the Valentine Card Making Station, or better yet, make some for your new friends!

The excitement begins at 4:00pm with a three hour gallery preview that will be family friendly with a Kids Kreativity Zone overflowing with art supplies. The Zone will provide a supervised space where youth can dive into their own expression while parents explore the exhibit. There is a suggested donation of $5.00 during this period, however, children twelve years and younger are allowed free entry.

The main event starts at 7:00pm and closes at 2:00am. The optical lounge will feature over 30 visual artists capturing the mixed-medium spirit, while the Audio Lab will rock with an eclectic mix of indie rock, electro-house dance, pop, jazz and soul.

Admission is $15.00 before 9:00pm and $20.00 for the remainder of the night. The venue at Lot 613 is located at 613 Imperial St. Los Angeles, CA
