Create a masterpiece for Paul McCartney

If Paul McCartney's songs "Maybe I'm Amazed" and "Coming Up" inspire your artistic muse in graphic art, you may find your illustration exhibited in London and signed by the former Beatle.

In a new promotion for his two recently reissued albums, McCartney and Talenthouse are looking for designers, graphic designers and illustrators to submit new graphic art illustrations inspired by the songs "Maybe I'm Amazed" from "McCartney" and "Coming Up" from "McCartney II."

McCartney will personally select the winning design and it will be autographed, framed and exhibited in Idea Generation Gallery in London. The winner will also be featured on Paul McCartney’s website and Facebook page, be paid $1,000 and get some unnamed "goodies."

According to the rules, all graphic art submissions must be original and submitted in .jpg, .jpeg or .png format and must not have been commercially used previously or during the contest. Entries may use both the audio and video for "Maybe I’m Amazed’ and "Coming Up" for inspiration. (The full rules are here.)

"Have fun with this competition. I look forward to seeing the amazing artwork that you are all going to produce and I encourage you to feel free and basically have a scribbling good time," McCartney said in a statement.

Deadline for submissions is August 16. Voting takes place between Aug. 17th and 23rd. The winner will be announced Sept. 14th.
