It's that time of year to send and receive holiday cards. Each card is a little expression of joy from the sender that is cherished by the receivers. A great way to show off your special holiday cards is by creating this cute and clever display from Just a Girl for ScotchBlue Painters Tape. The supplies are easy to find and inexpensive and the clear instructions below will have you well on your way to crafting your own in no time. Step 1: Using spray adhesive, simply glue the cork sheet to the back of the frame insert. Let it
set for a few minutes to make sure it adheres well. Once dry, trim off the excess cork with a
Step 2: Using a large ruler and some measurements, draw out the shape of the tree wanted. At
this point, you only need the outline of the tree.
Step 3: Using the Scotch Blue tape, tape off the inside of the tree. Once the entire inside of the
tree is covered, paint the remaining outer edges of the cork board with your paint. This required
two coats of paint to really soak into and cover the cork well.
Step 4: The final step is really up to you! Tape off random-sized stripes in some coordinating
colors. I chose a pale coral, white, and the natural cork to show through. To give it a bit of
holiday sparkle, I included some fine lines of gold. The tree trunk is topped off with some polka
dots to add a little whimsy to it!
Step 5: After painting the frame with some white paint, place the cork-covered backing into the
frame and enjoy!
