A teen was killed and two injured after several people crashed a party and opened fire into the crowd Wednesday at an apartment in Marietta.

Police have identified the deceased victim as 19-year-old Christopher Wilson, of Marietta. The other two victims have been identified as 19-year-old Chauncey Martin and 18-year-old Malik Phillips, according to Marietta police.

The shooting happened at The Dwells @750 Apartments at 750 Franklin Road, police said. Officers responded to the scene around 12:15 a.m. after getting a report of multiple shots being fired in Building 16, police spokesman Officer David Baldwin said.

When officers arrived, they discovered that three people had been shot during a large party, Baldwin said. About 60 people had attended the party, according to media reports.

One victim was transported by ambulance to WellStar Kennestone Hospital while the other two were driven to the hospital by friends before officers arrived, Baldwin said.

Investigators said while the party was taking place inside the apartment a group of about four to five unwanted guests arrived at the scene and started a fight with some of the attendants.

“One of the unwanted guests pulled out a gun and started shooting into the crowd,” Baldwin said. Two victims sustained non-life threatening wounds, while the third succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at Kennestone Hospital." It’s unclear if any of the victims were involved in the altercation. It’s also unclear what the argument was about and why the group crashed the party.

So far, police have not identified any suspect in the shooting, though Baldwin said detectives are currently following up on leads.
