The latest in Dodge's sports car line up is the Challenger, and it's challenging the limits on all engineering fronts. A spectacular crash test review from this more sporty, lighter version of the infamous Charger is placing the Challenger high on consumers purchase list. The safety displayed from this vehicle is second to none thanks to superb engineering and excellent Chrysler design.
ABS, stability, and traction control are some of the safety features that make the Challenger stand out from it's predecessors. The days of yore produced some amazing vehicles, but technology has really improved the safety. The ability to perform crash testing on theoretical designs in the computer really helps out the production process, resulting in a much safer vehicle.
Watching the front impact footage you can see the resilliance in the chassis confidently protects occupants with out harm. The strength displayed is truly amazing, not a single flex can be noticed. Pay special attention to the front wheels during the front impact testing. They barely move at all! This goes to show you how strong and well built the Dodge Challenger truly is. Beyond front impact, the side impact testing is also outstanding. Chrysler has really done an excellent job with this vehicle!

The side impact footage also reiterates just how strong the cabin and chassis is. A quick blast from the battering ram, and the Challenger only shows signs of minimal damage. A side impact results in nothing more than an exaggerated door dent, proving once again the strength of the chassis and overall design. The car is very tight in design, with an extra thick impact beams to protect occupants. I would feel very safe traveling in this vehicle over 100 miles per hour! Great job Chrylser!
