Crashing the 2010 Camaro may seem sacrilegious, but it is a necessary step in the production process to ensure proper safety! The 2010 through 2015 Chevrolet Camaro chassis passes all crash test reviews with flying colors! Frontal and side impacts are extremely safe, thanks to the special design chassis and superb building materials.
All aspects of safety were considered, even to the extent of glass projectile direction. I commend General Motors on building the safest Camaro yet, and it looks good too! This Camaro has the benefit of extensive computer aided crash technology, allowing GM to run theoretical crash tests as they build the car. Now more than ever, the vehicles are actually built around crash safety features. Implementing safety, performance, and style in an affordable package that can be easily produced is a very hard task that General Motors has perfected! Watching the frontal impact crash above you can see that the 2010 through 2015 Chevrolet Camaro chassis is very strong, and resists the impact with flying colors. Similar to other retro design modern sports cars the front axle doesn't even move. Thanks to the boxy chassis and superb crash design, this 2010 Chevrolet Camaro can take a hit and keep on ticking.
The passengers inside remain safe thanks to air bags, special crash designed seats, and of course the Chevy badge (just kidding). Like a rock, this car stands up to even the most brutal of crash testing.
Regarding the side impact, another magical win for General Motors. Side impact isn't as good as the Dodge Challenger, but the Camaro weighs less and can be seen in weaker side impact crash bars. These weak bars are made up for by a wide stance, and more distance between the occupants and the exterior of the body. Side impact bags support this difference in space, protecting the occupants neck from breaking due to extreme lateral G's caused by side impacts. Overall, GM did an excellent job with this vehicle and I would feel very safe driving it over 100 miles per hour. Good job GM!
