The story of alleged Craigslist murderer Philip Markoff has been making the rounds for a few days, but now a cheery new piece of information has appeared: Markoff kept underwear from two of the victims hidden in a hollowed out copy of Grey's Anatomy.
Grey's Anatomy. Nice touch.
Markoff has plead not guilty, but the authorities are painting an ugly picture of the Craigslist denizen.
According to Boston.com:
Authorities have said that his alleged crimes may have been motivated by a gambling problem and a desire to dominate his victims.
"He chose women, and he chose women who were living somewhat on life's margins, so that he could dominate them, abuse them," Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said.
"He seems to have no problem physically hurting women and dominating them."
While the outcome of the case is not clear at this point, one thing certainly is: you are buck-raving out of your mind if you link up with a stranger through Craigslist or any other blind venue.
