Craiglist killer, 19-year-old Miranda Barbour, claims she killed more than 22

According to the New York Daily News on Feb. 17, a 19-year-old female says she is a serial killer. In a jailhouse interview Miranda Barbour of Pennsylvania says she and her husband Elytte, 22, have killed about 22 people across the United States. Barbour says she began killing when she was only 13 years old. As to the number of people she has killed, she said she stopped counting when the number reached 22.

The newlywed boasted, "I can pinpoint on a map where you can find them. I remember everything. It is like watching a movie."

Barbour is being called the "Craigslist Killer' because her latest victim was a man she met on Craiglist. She killed Troy LaFerrara, 42, on Nov. 11 with her husband's help. Barbour and her husband are facing the death penalty for killing the man. Investigators calls the latest killing a "thrill kill" to mark the couple's three-week wedding anniversary.

Barbour says the killing spree is part of her involvement in a bloodthirsty satanic cult. She also told authorities that she lured the man by placing a Craigslist ad offering companionship. She met the man in the parking lot of a shopping mall and drove him to a spot in Sunbury. Her husband was hiding in the back seat and wrapped a cord about LaFerrara's neck. The woman then stabbed him more than 20 times. The body was found in an alley the next day.

So far, police have not been able to back up her claims that she has killed people in California, North Carolina, Texas and Alaska where most of the murders took place since that's where she joined the cult.

Barbour rationalized that her victims were people who "did bad things and didn't deserve to be here anymore." She added, "I would lure these people in. I studied them. I learned them and even became their friend."

Barbour she had no regrets about killing LaFerrara or any of the other alleged victims. She concluded, "If I were to be released, I would do this again."

Investigators don't believe Barbour's husband took part in any killings other than LaFerrara.
