It appears that TMZ cameras have been in the country music capital of the word, according to a Feb. 21 report by News Channel 5 out of Nashville. TMZ cameras hit Broadway this week after an article in Southern Living quoted actress Hayden Panitiere saying that she makes her home in Nashville because she can be a real person there and let her guard down.
Craig Campbell, who was caught on camera performing is country cover of “Royals”, which caught the attention of TMZ, spoke to the TMZ cameras recently outside Winners bar in downtown Nashville. In an interview with News Channel 5, it was the first time Campbell was actually accosted by TMZ and talked about “Royals” and other songs he plans to cover and incorporate into his life show.
Campbell was asked what he thought about TMZ’s Nashville invasion and if he thought it would get out of hand and he said, “If it does, I guess we’ll do what we do and hide and not come out, which, that’s not good for most of us. I feel like somebody will put together a paparazzi revolution”.
The last time this much media attention was focused on Nashville was back in 1996 for Wynnona Judd’s wedding. People in Nashville say there is an unwritten rule that residents respect the privacy of the stars that live in Music City.
