Collider is reporting today that Hollywood is so desperate for material they are using music magazines as sources.
Director Craig Brewer (“Hustle & Flow”) has been hired to write and direct the drama “Gangster Princess of Beverly Hills.”
Based on a Rolling Stone article by Sabrina Rubin Erdley, the film will be about Lisette Lee, a drug mule who portrayed herself to be an heiress to the Samsung fortune as well as an actress, singer, and model. Lee was caught trafficking 500 pounds of pot into Ohio and was sentenced to six years in prison.
Brewer is responsible for the 2011 remake “Footloose,” and appears to be more comfortable in the music genre of film, but this subject matter is so insignificant that even he couldn't mess it up.
The plot actually makes me want to watch “Domino” again and maybe just skip this all together.
