More than 35 years ago, the Craftsmen's Christmas Classic Arts & Crafts Festival was 'born' in Greensboro, North Carolina. It began as an idea by jeweler Clyde Gilmore, as a way for a 'family' of craftspeople could showcase their items in an indoor setting, and meet one on one with their customers.

The first Christmas Classic event was held on Thanksgiving weekend, at the Greensboro Coliseum. Now many years later, the 38th Annual Craftsmen's Christmas Classic was held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 25th -27th, 2011 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. More than 300 vendors from across the country, showcased works of art from baskets to metalwork to specialty foods.

The event has been named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast several times over it's history. It draws visitors from several states around. The show is fun, and it is also great inspiration for the 'artist' within you! Who knows, maybe next year, you could be staffing one of the booths selling your unique works of art!

Due to the incredible success of the events in Greensboro, there are now 10 Craftmen's Classics event held throughout the year. They are held in Columbia and Myrtle Beach South Carolina; Richmond, Roanoke and Chantilly, Virginia; and of course Greensboro, North Carolina. The upcoming Spring events will be held in Columbia, Richmond, Chantilly and Greensboro. The Summer event will be held in Myrtle Beach. The Fall events will be held in Roanoke and Chantilly, and the Christmas events for 2012 will be held in Richmond, Columbia and Greensboro.

Add them to your vacation destination list for 2012 for family fun entertainment! For more information log onto www.christmasclassic.com, or contact the show promoters at Gilmore Enterprises (336) 282-5550, or contact@GilmoreShows.com.
