Tucson Children’'s Crafts Examiner

A new episode of Curious George called "Monkey Size Me/Metal Detective" premieres on Tucson's PBS Channel 6 on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 7am.  The first part of the episode is about Geroge throwing a surprise party for the Yellow Man and things go awry due to him making stuff monkey size.  Then he imagines if everything was monkey size.  The second part is about George making a metal detector to find the robot he lost at the beach.  Below are some craft ideas related to this episode.

Can Do Robots  - This is a fun craft to make creative robot creatures using empty aluminum cans and other recycled items.

Curious George Printables - This has a variety of printable Curious George themed activities and coloring pages.

Curious George Toilet Paper Roll Craft - Make a cute little George that can be used as a puppet or figure for imaginative play.

Eye-C-U Robot Paper Craft - Make your own little 3D robot with this printable template.  It is not metal, though, so if you lose it you will not be able to find it like George looks for his.  However, you can just print out the template again and remake it.
