The Ohio State Fair is hosting Crafts and Crashes this year. Crafts and Crashes is a one day event Saturday August 8, 2009. It is a combined event involving the Columbus Crafty Cotillion Handmade Expo and the Ohio Roller Girls Derby at the Fair. The events are both all ages and included in your Fair admission fee.
The Handmade Expo takes place in the Family Fun Pavilion, behind the Cox Fine Arts Building, from 12pm to 7pm. It features over 30 vendors including Columbus crafters such as AmyD, Umbrella Girl Productions and Moogan. It is being put on by the Columbus Crafty Cotillion , a collective of local crafters, designers and artists.
The Ohio Roller Girls Derby at the Fair is happening at the Show Place Pavilion near the Taste of Ohio Cafe from 11am to 6pm. It features all day bouts. Columbus is proudly hosting teams from all of Ohio's major cities.
