With the 2014 Boston Marathon quickly approaching, a group of Iowa crafters have come together to make scarves for runners who will be participating, according to an article published on April 6 by Omaha.com.
Omaha.com reports that a box of 20 handmade scarves are at the Cornerstone Cottage in Hampton, Iowa waiting to be sent to the runners of the 2014 Boston Marathon. Each of the blue and yellow scarves reportedly bear love, prayers and good wishes from their creators.
Dyanne Pralle of Hampton who is one of the crafters responsible creating the scarves reportedly said the scarve are just a way to let the runners know they are in “our thoughts.”
The 118th running of the Boston Marathon is set April 21, that just six day after Boston marks the one-year anniversary of the bombings that took place near the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon. The double blast that went off on April 15, 2013 killed three people and injured more than 260 others.
