Etsy has long been the go-to online marketplace for all things handmade. Recently, the Craft Hope for Haiti Etsy shop was opened to provide aid to those devastated by the earthquake in Haiti. So far, over 1,000 handcrafted items have been sold with 100% of the proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. All of the items in the shop were donated by generous members of the crafting community.
As of January 20, 2010 Craft Hope for Haiti is taking a short break from accepting donations, but you can still help. Visit the shop and purchase a unique, handmade item made by one of the many talented artists on Etsy and the purchase price will go to a very worthy cause.
