Craft Beer & Ale parodies Green Eggs & Ham

Sam, do you drink craft beer and ale? Illustration by Rob Davis

In commemoration of Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel), Dr. J, otherwise known as Jay Brooks created this wonderful parody of the book, Green Eggs & Ham.  Publisher of the Brookston Beer Bulletin, journalist Jay Brooks describes how he was playing around with the words of his family favorite book by Dr. Seuss.

We don’t know how many beers Jay needed to contrive this masterpiece of the brewer’s art, but it’s a pleasure to read and will put a smile on your beer drinking face.

Wonderful illustrations are by Rob Davis.

For the complete parody take a look at Jay’s March 2 post at the Brookston Beer Bulletin.

Here’s a teaser few verses:

Sam I am

I am Sam

Sam I am

That Sam’s upscale.

That Sam regales.

I do not like that Sam wholesale!

Do you drink

craft beer & ale?

I do not drink them, Sam, they’re stale.

I do not drink

craft beer & ale.

Would you drink them

weak or strong?

I would not drink them

weak or strong.

I would not drink them, it is wrong.
