Cradle of Filth cancels concert at Huntington's Paramount

According to a Feb. 14 report from Loudwire, Cradle of Filth has been forced to cancel their entire 2013 North American tour, including a scheduled date at Huntington's Paramount.

According to an official statement from Cradle of Filth, the cancellation is due to immigration issues that are “beyond the band’s control.”

Cradle of Filth hails from England, and have been performing for over 20 years. This appears to be the first time the band has dealt with immigration issues, so it's a bit of a shock that the legendary black metal outlet will not be appearing on North American soil in the days ahead.

U.K. extreme act Cradle of Filth announced the cancellation of the upcoming "28 Days Closer to Hell" North American tour with The Faceless, Decapitated and The Agonist in support of the latest release "The Manticore and Other Horrors."

The band cited immigration issues as the cause. The tour was set to play Huntington, NY on March 28, 2013 at The Paramount on Long Island.

The official statement on the band's Facebook Page reads as follows: "Cradle Of Filth are really sorry to tell all of their fans that their US tour '28 Days Closer to Hell' is going to have to be cancelled, due to US immigration issues beyond the band’s control."

"They have been desperately trying to solve these problems, but it has become evident they are not going to be resolved in time for the band to embark on a tour that starts next week. "The band sincerely apologizes to all their fans and to the other acts on the tour and want to assure people they have made every effort possible to go ahead with the tour."

Refunds on tickets are available via your point of purchase – Ticketmaster or The Paramount Box Office. For questions, please contact The Paramount at 631-673-7300.
