Coy Taylor signs with Average Joes Ent., plays Jan. 24 showcase at 12th & Porter

Country newcomer Coy Taylor, whose "Fall for You" freshman single continues to make its way up the charts of both Music Row and Billboard's "Indicator" rankings, has signed with Nashville-based Average Joes Entertainment to oversee his career managment.

"I am very excited to have signed management with Rusty Harmon at Average Joes Entertainment," Taylor shared in a Jan. 21 email. "Rusty has over 20 years in the business with managing very successful acts, such as handling Hootie & the Blowfish for 13 years. With his track record of success, I feel my career is in great hands. I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for my music career."

Singer-songwriter Taylor slates Jan. 24 showcase

In honor of his new affiliation with Average Joes Entertainment, Taylor will perform a free Tuesday, Jan. 24, showcase at Nashville's 12th & Porter, 114 12th Ave. North, beginning at 6 p.m. (Doors open at 5 p.m.)

"This showcase is very important to me. ... This will be the first full show that Rusty (Harmon) and his staff will see me at," Taylor said. "There will be several other industry folks who I highly respect at this show ... (and) it is very important for them to see us at out best.

"These shows in Nashville are very tough; there are so many talented people doing shows every night," he added. "You never know who may or may not attend. With that said, we must always be on our game, as if we are playing an arena. To me that is the only way a performer should treat every show, as if it is their biggest show yet."

As for what eventgoers can expect Tuesday night, "I have been working with a solid band for a while now--lead guitar, bass, drums, pedal steel, dobro and myself on acoustic," Taylor told Examiner.com
"We are polished and ready to perform in any arena that we can be put in, from nightclub to concert. We will have some special suprises. ... We want this to be a full on show like nothing Nashville has seen!"
A native of Kentucky, Taylor's Bigger Than Life EP was produced by Brady Seals and is set for release later this year. However, the singer-songwriter's inaugural "Fall For You" single is now available for digital download via iTunes,

Beginning in fall 2011, Taylor hit the road--and country radio--in support of "Fall For You" single, and most recently he's been on the road opening for Average Joes Entertainment's Colt Ford, including recent tour stops in Oklahoma and Louisiana.
