Each September the Sundance Square area of Ft Worth becomes this site of one of the largest car shows in the area each year when the 'Cowtown Cruisin for a Cure' car show takes place. This year this event turns 10 years old and will be held on Saturday September 17th. Sundance Square is again expect to overfill with the area's finest hot rods and custom cars with the main goal is that of saving lives!
The show is held to raise awareness and funds to battle prostate cancer. Last year at the show, 172 screens were conducted and 13 were found to be abnormal, leading to further action that likely lead to life saving measures. And in 2010, over $25,000 was raised to battle this disease. The tests are free and require a small blood sample with results sent to your home. In many cases, those tested did not know they had a problem. So you can tell, this is not just another car show!
The car show will have all makes and models of cars, including hot rods, muscle cars, classics, traditional and more. Expect to see Studebakers, GTO's, Mustang's, Chevelle's, Corvette's, VW's, Model T's - you name it and it will likely be there! And in such a great area in Sundance Square where there will be live entertainments, plenty of food choices and just a great place to enjoy a day of collector car watching!
