It is almost close to kick off for the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants.
Both teams have their season on the line in this drama filled game, set up for a winner takes all in the NFC East. The other has a quiet trip on the way home. Doesn’t matter if it is a long plane ride home to Dallas, or if it is a short ride home to Manhattan.
Both teams are in the same boat going into this game. That boat is because of inconsistent play, along with bad losses to teams they shouldn’t have lost to, or not having enough to get over the hump for a victory against quality teams.

Either way, both teams, if they had played well most of the season, we could be talking about a different scenario for both teams. However, we have seen the play so far this season for both teams. It could be the same reason they could get bounced in Wild Card Weekend, known as Week 1 of the playoffs.
So knowing how important thisd game is to all players involved, let’s look a news story that is coming out of New York, that may have an affect on what we see on the football field on New Years Day.
New York Giants:
Brandon Jacobs, according to SB Nation, has let the Dallas Cowboys fans get in his head. He is quoted saying that he hates the Dallas Cowboys fans because they are loud and obnoxious. Isn’t anyone who is a fan of any team?
OK Jacobs has a point, and he may be right. But don’t you as an NFL player, fighting to make it into the playoffs, have anything better to worry about? Really fans are your main concern going into a win-and-your-in game scenario? As they say on ESPN Countdown to Kick Off—Come On Man!
Well I guess you have to look at his logic, after all, this is the guy who threw his helmet into the stands on more than one occasion at Giants Stadium, so I guess I will take his “opinion” with a grain of salt.
I still agree with him about the Cowboys fans, you can also add know it alls, living in the past for 20 years, ego maniacal (The Energizer Bunny steps in to take us to fade to black)…

That having been said, the Cowboys and Giants are about the same team, when you talk offense, so the defense is going to be the big difference in today's game for all the marbles in the NFC East.
Looking at both defenses, there is no question on what team has the best defense that will be on the field on Sunday—the New York Giants. They win in a close one.
Look for Tony Romo and Eli Manning to be solid, but one mistake could cost either team the game.
