Courtney Garrett crowned Miss Lynchburg 2013

Courtney Garrett was crowned Miss Lynchburg 2013 on Feb. 16 in ceremonies at Dunbar Middle School in Lynchburg.

The win qualifies Garrett to be a contestant in the Miss Virginia 2013 Pageant. The winner of the state pageant will represent Virginia at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.

She has a long history of competing in pageants throughout Virginia.

She reigned as Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen 2009. The teen pageant is the younger-sister pageant in the Miss America Organization for girls ages 13-17.

As Miss Arlington, Garrett was third runner-up in the Miss Virginia 2012 competition.

She was first runner-up at the Miss Virginia 2011 Pageant.

She was first runner-up in the 2013 Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival Pageant.

Garrett was Miss Junior Miss of America 2007.

Garrett was also the reigning Teen Miss Virginia 2008-09.

She was a semifinalist for Miss Virginia Teen USA 2009 and second runner-up for Miss Virginia Teen USA 2011.
