A courthouse shooting in Delaware has left three people dead, and two injured according to an article posted today at the Denver Post.
The report says Sgt. Paul Shavack, with the Delaware Police Department has confirmed three people died in a shooting at the New Castle County Courthouse in Wilmington, and says the suspected gunman and two women are dead. According to the city's mayor, one of the women killed was the shooter's estranged wife. However Shavack said authorities have not confirmed if this was the case.
As of noon today the motive was still unconfirmed, but Shavack did say the shooting was not a random act of violence. He did confirm at least a portion of the courthouse shooting occurred in the building lobby, and that gunfire was exchanged between the gunman and officers. However Shavack did not say if the two women died during that gunfire, or if they had already been killed by the shooter.
Two officers were also injured in the incident.
