Court Street Denizen from 'Gatecrash'

Featured in the "Boros Battalion" intro pack, Court Street Denizen is one of the newest white cards from Wizards of the Coast's latest expert "Magic: The Gathering" expansion set "Gatecrash."

Court Street Denizen is deceptively powerful, tapping down an opponent's biggest blocker each turn and enabling your attackers to break through their defenses.

Cards that produce creature tokens like Thraben Doomsayer or Gather the Township can boost Court Street Denizen's reach and screw up an opponent's plans. Obzedat, Ghost Council is a card that pairs particularly well with Court Street Denizen because it can return to the battlefield each of your turns to lock down an opponent's blocker.

To really abuse Court Street Denizen you'll want to create multiple white creatures in a turn. Increasing Devotion and Assemble the Legion can be quite potent with a Court Street Denizen out.

Because Court Street Denizen is a Human it has fantastic synergy with Champion of the Parish. It can also result in an explosive turn with Angel of Glory's Rise when combined with haste creatures like Zealous Conscripts.
