Court ordered “Abortion Barbie” Wendy Davis to stay off drugs and booze

What kind of real life problems does one have if a court of law actually orders that one abstain of use of illegal drugs and alcoholic beverages? Those would be very serious problems if you are in the process of seeking to run for governor of your state. The so-called “Abortion Barbie,” Texas State Senator Wendy Davis, who is known for the filibuster of the abortion legislation in the state senate that Governor Rick Perry signed a few weeks later, is seeking to replace Perry as governor of Texas.

Davis, who appears to be the only prominent candidate Texas Democrats have running for governor, already has serious issues in her background, including a claim of having suffered mental health issues in a bogus lawsuit she filed against the Fort Worth Star-Telegram after it endorsed her opponent for a city council seat in Fort Worth. The newspaper had editorialized about what it believed were negative campaign tactics employed by Davis in that campaign for city council.

In addition to the mental instability revealed by that sorry episode, it appears that Davis also has a past that includes problems with illegal drugs and alcohol. Erick Erickson reports today via RedState today that Davis was ordered by a court to abstain from use of illegal drugs and alcohol within 24 hours of visitation by her children.

Erickson reported, “In documents obtained by RedState, Wendy Davis’s own child requested her father be her custodian. Likewise, in filing his divorce against Wendy Davis, her husband requested the court enter the temporary restraining order. The court, without an evidentiary hearing, did so. See the temporary restraining order here. The court ordered that Wendy Davis “be immediately restrained from...using illegal drugs or consuming alcohol within 24 hours before or during the period of possession of or access to the child.””

Erickson also noted that the court prohibited from Davis's residence while the children visited, anyone that Davis might be dating, between the house of 10 PM and 6 AM.

In their divorce, Davis's now ex-husband accused her of adultery, and was awarded custody of their children by the court, that also order Davis to pay child support for the children.

So we have a clearly mentally unstable, far left Democrat candidate ideologically (then again, I repeat myself, because liberalism is a mental disorder) who appears to have past problems with illegal drugs and alcohol, and was not granted custody of her children by the court. And she wants to be governor of the one of the largest states in the country. Unreal.
