Coupons are everywhere!

Your journey has started…That’s what you thought anyways and then it occurs too you that you have no idea where to look!

First place may seem obvious, but with today’s world being surrounded by technology you may have forgotten about the Sunday newspaper! Sunday newspapers are loaded with coupons, even in inconspicuous places like the US Weekly insert. There are many ways you can do this, it does cost a little money, but if you put time into couponing, what you save at the register will pay off! Here are different ways you can approach couponing, it’s up to whatever way works best for you!

The way I have found that works best is buying one Sunday paper and finding the best coupons, that either match up to a sale, that can create overage or is just a really great coupon for a high priced item (that IS on sale, remember buying something not on sale is a coupon no-no!) or an item in which you want to buy in bulk. For the items that create overage, I would want to acquire LOTS of these! Even if the overage is a penny, that penny adds up with multiple coupons and goes towards the rest of your order! The way I found is easiest to get multiple coupons is going to websites that you can buy them from for a few cents apiece!

I like this website personally, http://www.thecouponclippers.combecause it is forward and easy, you do not have to sort through many services to find the one you like!

If you do not like the one I recommended, this website has a lot of different coupon ordering services, http://www.hotcouponworld.com/resources/coupon-clipping-services/.

Another option rather than using an online ordering service, you can buy many Sunday papers or see if a store will give you the unsold ones on Monday, or ask friends and neighbors to donate theirs to you. When I first started couponing, I bought multiple papers resulting in tons of coupons I spent time clipping and never used! I have also heard of people taking the multiple coupon inserts, leaving them uncut, and paper clipping them together in an organized binder. This seems like another practical way, but if you don’t want to scavenge for coupon inserts or buy multiple, this may be very time consuming.

One of my biggest mistakes that I have made learning to coupon was printing every coupon that I liked off of websites like www.coupons.comand then never using them! I went through at least two ink cartridges and tons of paper before I realized how much money I wasted and I had not saved close to that yet! Although you can find MANY great coupons, including high value coupons for such things as baby formula, I would recommend save yourself money by keeping an eye out on sales flyers and printing the coupons off that match up with your flyer! You will save time, money, and brain power from not starring at the computer so long!

Are you overwhelmed or maybe confused on which path you may want to take? Ask yourself these questions:

Do I want to save money, regardless of time spent on getting them? Or

Is it I want to save money, but with time in mind or is it that you

Want to save money, but not if it’s going to cost me free time?

For those who answered yes to the first question, I suggest you try each until you find what you like the best! I learned more by trial and error!

Yes to saving money but with time in mind? I would suggest coupon match-ups with your local grocery store flyer, if you are willing to drive to Safeway; they usually have the best deals in Cheyenne, along with a great coupon policy!

Are you the person who has time on her mind? Grab your sales flyer, Safeway or King Soopers members card, write a grocery list of what you need/want, and sit down to visit www.safeway.comor www.kingsoopers.com.

E-coupons is a option that I have not mentioned yet, I wanted to save it for last, because now that you know all the other options, e-couponing is a great resource to take advantage of to save time, but also money, and give your scissors a break from clipping!

Local stores, King Sooper’s and Safeway, both have member’s cards. Safeway has the option on their website, once you have registered and have a login, you can load manufactures coupons directly to your card, when you swipe it at checkout, and they automatically are used! One thing I personally love about Safeway’s website, you can make a grocery list out of everything on sale, print it out, and also print out the items which you have added to your card; making match-ups easier, and well shopping easier!

King Sooper’s also has the same option of registering your card and loading manufactures coupons directly on the members’ cards, taking away that annoyance of sorting out all those paper coupons out at check-out.

The key is before you print or clip any other manufactures coupons, make sure these coupons are not available on e-coupons to be put onto your members cards, most of the time, they are the same ones! Another lesson I learned the hard way! I printed them out and then when I went to add e-coupons, I realized they were the same! My poor printer!

Next…How to organize all these coupons!

Tip: Look inside your sales flyer every week, even checking all places like Albertsons, King Soopers, Safeway, and places like Walgreens, some have extra coupons that you have to have those exact coupons clipped for the special price or savings! The reason I mentioned Walgreens, they often have soups, pastas, and other non perishable items on sale fo
