Are you ready to learn the tricks of the trade in the coupon world? Using coupons effectively and with precision is not a natural born talent for most of us; therefore we must train for a 5k of our own in order to help save money in the family budget.

WRAL coupon class workshops begin on May 10, 2014. There are four different opportunities to catch this workshop throughout the summer to help you learn how to slash your grocery bill in half using tried and true techniques.

Your coupon diva in training class will train you how to:

  1. Buy free and almost free products your family already uses
  2. Effectively use coupons for items you already buy
  3. Understand store coupon policies for local grocery and drug stores
  4. Understand best prices for meat, produce, dairy and more and how to find those low prices
  5. Locate coupons for the items you use
  6. Organize your coupons most effectively
  7. Decipher the drug store reward programs
  8. Develop an easy to follow weekly meal plan your whole family will love

WRAL reports:

Class includes course handout, freebies, door prizes and lots of fun! Most participants EASILY save the cost of the workshop and more during their first grocery trip using the Smart Spending System. This workshop will change the way you shop and teach you to save more than you ever imagined!

The classes are led by Raleigh’s own Faye Prosser, WRAL’s official Smart Shopper. She has been spreading her coupon diva knowledge for over ten years and has a book out called “The Smart Spending Guide” and owns and maintains the widely popular: Smart Spending Resources. Her blog covers the following topics:

  • Fabulous grocery store buys starting every Wednesday
  • Best deals at area drug stores starting each Sunday
  • Daily good deal alerts
  • Weekly frugal meal plan
  • Frugal (and tasty) recipes
  • Weekly money saving articles
  • Regular video segments with tons of great money saving information
  • Monthly giveaways (including coupons, of course!)
  • Q & A posts (so send me your frugal living questions)

Here is your chance to enhance your domestic diva skills by training to be a coupon and grocery shopping queen! The ten dollar entry fee is nothing compared to what you will learn and how much you will save using your new found frugal knowledge!
