A couple who appeared on the Today show to talk about undergoing in vitro fertilization have announced on February 7, 2014 that they have succeeded in creating a stable embryo. The full story can be read here.

The couple initially spoke on the Today show several months ago and came back to the show to give their announcement. The couple has been having problems conceiving for nine years and wanted to share their story. This led to their first appearance on public television in late September of 2013.

The couple has found that the baby will be a girl and will name her Chloe stating that they are ecstatic about the successful procedure. In vitro fertilization has become increasingly common in recent years and has become a more preferred choice for parents who cannot conceive on their own. As development in this field of research continues, success rate are beginning to soar for other couples who cannot conceive.
