Couple survives Oklahoma crash, their Pomeranian puppy is missing (Photos)

Rachel and Ron Riddle feel lucky to be alive as they recover from injuries suffered in a rollover accident on New Years Eve along Interstate 40. But they are missing the littlest member of their family: "Heavy Duty" their Pomeranian puppy was lost after the crash.

The young couple had been visiting friends in Arizona. They were driving home to Georgia where Ron is stationed with the military. The accident occurred when Rachel hit a patch of black ice and their car rolled more than three times. Both sustained severe injuries,

Rachel and Ron had their dog with them in the vehicle. Now the tiny 16-week-old Pomeranian they call Heavy Duty, or "HD" for short, is all think of as they recover in an Oklahoma City hospital. They worry about the dog out roaming in the cold along the busy highway, and they are begging the public's help in finding her.

Rachel told Oklahoma City's KFOR News: "We wrecked at about mile marker 57 on I-40. They checked the entire area, but they couldn't find him. I just know he’s okay and I just want to find him, we want our family back together again."

The family will remain in Oklahoma City for up to a month while Ron learns to walk again. He suffered two broken legs. Rachel broke her elbow and her lung was punctured. Doctors are amazed they survived the crash.

Anyone who finds "HD" or has any information concerning his whereabouts is asked to contact: Friends for Life Sanctuary at (877) 653-3527.
