Couple's second lottery win: $1M claimed by lucky couple

A couple's second lottery win has them rolling in dough. The Arizona couple won their second lottery, this time cashing in on a Powerball ticket for $1 million. On March 10, The Inquisitr reported that Diane Carmichael and her husband, Kerry, won $2.5M almost 18 years ago. In fairness, the two were definitely overdue...

While any normal couple would be thrilled to win the lottery just once, Diane Carmichael is waiting for her third big hit. Despite cashing in on $665,000 after taxes (which adds to her $125,000 a year for her previous win), Carmichael says that "good things come in threes."

The couple's second lottery win won't be their last according to Diane. "Two down, one to go," is how she feels about her luck -- which some might call incredible. While she and her husband are happy to have won the lottery (twice), it seems obvious that they will continue to play and press their luck.

As for what the Carmichael's intend to do with their lottery winnings, that's not clear. However, playing Powerball every day might be something they will do. Strange things like this can happen and maybe it isn't out of the question for the Carmichael's to hit the lottery again... but they should steer clear of oceans (shark attack!) and stay out of harm's way in thunder storms.

The couple's second lottery win came just in time. According to the report, their $125,000 annuity payments were set to expire in Dec. 2014!
