A couple missing in Peru is feared to have been kidnapped. The American couple has been missing in Peru for a month now, leading to the families becoming very worried about what might have happened. According to a report from Monday (Feb. 25), the couple has been missing since Jan. 26, leading to fears that a kidnapping has taken place.
Garrett Hand and Jamie Neal reportedly headed to Peru back in November to begin a five-month biking expedition through South America. The adventure had been chronicled on Facebook during their time down in Peru, with regular updates coming during the trip. Those posts have ceased and have led to some serious concerns that something has gone wrong.
There is now a Facebook page that has been set up to try to figure out what happened to Garret Hand and Jamie Neal. Family members are posting updates on the page to keep readers apprised of the situation and the hope is that information can be turned up.
A post from late Monday reads, "We still have yet to hear from Garrett or Jamie. There has been no contact with any family members or friends as well as no financial activity or social media activity from either of them. However we keep our hopes high and are so grateful for the amazing job Peru and America have done in coming together to search for our loved ones. Everyone continue to share and stay positive for a happy ending."
Getting the world out may be the best way for the family to figure out where this American couple missing in Peru has gone. So far there hasn't been either good news or bad news in the disappearances.
