The campaign will run from Saturday, December 14 through Tuesday, December 24 and all three of the county shelters will be participating.

“We sit up and beg the animal loving people of Santa Barbara County to open their hearts and homes to us, in the spirit of the holidays,” says Animal Services’ spokesdog Anne from the Santa Maria Shelter. “It’s a lonely life, living in a kennel day after day, month after month, year after year.”

Spokescat Crescent who lives at A.S.A.P. at the Santa Barbara County Shelter, concurred with Ruby, albeit from a safe distance. “It’s warm and dry at A.S.A.P., and they give us food and good care. But even a comfortable cage is still a cage.”

Spokesrabbit Wiley noted, “Every one of us has something special to offer we just need the opportunity to show you.”

In the spirit of holiday giving, Santa Barbara Animal County Animal Services is offering great discounts on animal adoptions from December 15th through the 24th. Dog adoptions will be reduced to just $50, cats over six months $25, kittens $40 (or 2 for just $75). All animals come with vaccinations and are spayed or neutered.

You can find the Santa Barbara Animal Services shelter just off Patterson on Overpass Road Located at 5773 Overpass Road, it's just around the corner from the Humane Society and right next door to DAWG.

In Lompoc, the County's shelter is conveniently located at 1501 W. Central. Just past WalMart, the center is located near the intersection of Central and "V".

And in Santa Maria animal services is located at 548 W. Foster Rd. If you're coming off the 135 just head toward the Sheriff's station. The center will be the second left once you're past.
