Saturday June 28 was a big night for country music in Milwaukee at Summerfest. From the biggest stage, The Marcus Amphitheater, to one of the smallest stages, The Tiki Hut, country music filled the air and the hearts and minds of fans. Luke Bryan performed to a full house at the big gig and he brought along with him rising star Danielle Bradbery to open up the show. The festival grounds were full of cowboy boots and cowboy hats all day long as fans took in some of the sights, sounds and food before enjoying a night full of music.
Danielle Bradbery is currently seeing great success with her song and video for "Young In America," which has spent the last two weeks at the number one spot on the GACTV video countdown. The song is off Bradbery's 2013 self titled debut album on Big Machine Records and she rose to fame after winning the fourth season of "The Voice" last year. The Milwaukee crowd welcomed her with open arms and gave her a healthy round of applause after each song.
Luke Bryan was high energy from the start and gave the Marcus Amphitheater crowd his everything. During the first song of the night things heated up quickly, and quite literally, as a line of flame burned straight up into the air at the front of the stage. It was a spectacle to behold. Bryan flipped his hat around during part of the third song of the night and gave the crowd and photographers a few minutes to see him eye to eye. Bryan posed for fan photos while singing and dancing his way across the stage, making his way up and down the catwalk numerous times during the first three songs.
At the Tiki Hut singer songwriter Nora Collins drew large crowds of her own during her late afternoon and evening sets. Collins has now played six times during Summerfest 2014 and will play twice a day for four more days. Nora's biggest show of the festival will be Sunday June 29 at 3 p.m. ET at the Uline Warehouse Stage located at the north end of the Summerfest grounds.
