Nashville, TN - Carrie Underwood...American Idol winner, country-music superstar, and most recently "dog rescuer".
According to RTT News, Underwood spotted an injured Labrador Retriever puppy alongside the road over the holidays and she stopped to assist.
The incident happened along the highway as Underwood traveled back to Nashville following a visit to her parents' home.
Sadly, Underwood spotted two dogs along the road that day, but one of them had already been killed.
The surviving dog was taken to a veterinary clinic where she was treated for road rash, and other minor injuries.
After the trip to the vet, the dog, now named Stella, was taken home with Underwood who found her a home with a neighbor.
How refreshing to read about someone who took the time to stop instead of driving by...
Be well Stella - thanks to Carrie for stepping in to help.
