TV-watching country fans can have the best of both worlds Thursday, Jan. 10, when hit-maker Tracy Lawrence makes a guest appearance on an episode of the History Channel’s popular "Cajun Pawn Stars" series.
In the episode dubbed “Yankee Magic,” which will air at 9/8 p.m. (CT), the philanthropic Lawrence plays the role of a customer who stops by the shop looking to sell his 1920s Martin guitar and a colorful 1960s suit from singer/songwriter Hank Snow.
According to a Jan. 9 missive shared with Examiner.com, Lawrence -- who recently completed work on his first movie -- was invited to guest on "Cajun Pawn Stars" by Jimmie DeRamus, who's known as "Big Daddy" on the show.
DeRamus, as it turns out, is a big fan of the troop-supporting, awarding-winning country performer. The pair met when both took part in the "Hal And Al All-Star Concert," a benefit for handicapped children.
The Tennessee-based Lawrence recently released his first single, “Stop, Drop and Roll,” from his forthcoming album titled "Headlights, Taillights and Radios," which will be released on his LMG label later this year.
