Singer Mindy McCready, who had great success from 1996-2010, was found dead on Sunday Feb. 17, 2013. She had a single gun shot wound.
Her first album, "Ten Thousand Angels," was well received, hitting number one on the country charts in Canada. She never achieved that success with subsequent recordings.
McCready's personal life seem to always be in turmoil.
Actor Dean Cain was engaged to Mindy in 1997. However, they broke up in 1998.
In 2003, McCready began dating aspiring singer William Patrick McKnight. Mindy's life started a slide that ended on Sunday with her death.
McCready's last several years of life were filled with substance abuse, bouts with mental illness, suicide attempts and appearances on three TV shows trying to kick her drug and alcohol habits.

Last month on January 13, 2013, Mindy's boyfriend, father of one of her children, was found dead of a single gun shot wound in McCready's home.

McCready is survived by her two small children.
