Mindy McCready, (November 30, 1975 – February 17, 2013), country music star in the the mid 90s has died in Heber Springs, Arkansas of an apparent suicide. She was found with a gun shot to her head on the front porch of her home. Her dog was also shot.

She was 37 years old and leaves two young boys -- 7 year old, Zander McCready, and 9 month, Zayne Wilson.

This comes just a month after the death of her “soul mate” record producer, David Wilson father to Zayne, who died of self-inflicted gun shot wounds on the same front porch (January 13).

Although it was reported that Wilson committed suicide, the New York Daily News reports his death is still being investigated.

Sadly, her life has been filled with so much controversy and personal problems including depression, alcoholism and drug addiction.

In April 2008, the New York Daily News reported that McCready had a long term relationship with baseball star Roger Clemens which according to her began when she was 16 and ended after a decade when he would not leave his wife to marry her.

Her album “Ten Thousand Angels” released by BNA records, debuted in 1996 and sold two million copies being certified double platinum by the RIAA. The album peaked at #5 on the US country charts and brought four chart singles on the country charts.
