Country music singer Brantley Gilbert celebrated his twenty-eighth birthday by getting engaged. People reported on Monday, Jan. 21 that the singer and former One Tree Hill actress and singer Jana Kramer got engaged in Nashville on Sunday. Gilbert popped the question at the iconic Ryman Auditorium Theater which was the site of the Grand Ole Opry. The pair have been together since September 2012 and released the following statement about their engagement:
We could not be happier! We are so excited to share this special time with our loved ones and cannot wait to start the rest of our lives together.
Kramer, 29, is well known for playing bad girl Alex Dupre on the television drama One Tree Hill from 2009 to 2012, appearing in 44 episodes. Kramer most recently released her self-titled debut country album on June 5, 2012. The album includes the singles "Why Ya Wanna" and "Whiskey." Kramer was previously married to actor Jonathan Schaech in 2010, but the marriage lasted just one month.
Gilbert is known for releasing two albums, Modern Day Prodigal Sun and Halfway to Heaven. He also wrote the songs "Dirt Road Anthem" and "My Kinda Party" which were made popular by country music artist Jason Aldean. No wedding date has been set.
