On Feb. 10, country group Little Big Town picked up their first Grammy award for “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” for their chart-topping single “Pontoon.”
They bested out some very stiff competition in their category that was derived from the Eli Young Band’s “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” The Time Jumpers’ “On The Outskirts of Town,” Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars’ “Safe and Sound,” as well as Grammy favorite Alison Krauss who was nominated for her collaboration with country music living legend Don Williams for “I Just Come Here For the Music.”
The band shared their excitement on Twitter. “Holy cow. We just won a Grammy. Thank you Jesus,” the group tweeted to their dedicated fans and followers.
Overjoyed, Phillip Sweet from Little Big Town also shared a tweet via his personal Twitter page. “The most amazing night. I’m speechless,” he tweeted.
