Country Eggs, Inc egg recall announced August 18: The company is yet another brand of eggs that is now added to the massive nationwide salmonella egg recall that started on August 13. The CDC states that cases of salmonella are on the rise, with over 300 cases of salmonella confirmed so far.
Specific cartons of eggs are listed below that were voluntarily recalled on Thursday. Country Eggs states that the shell eggs were supplied by Wright County Egg of Galt, Iowa, said to be responsible for the over 328 million eggs recalled in the United States for salmonella contamination.
Eggs affected by the recall were distributed to food wholesalers, distribution centers and foodservice companies in California, Arizona and Nevada. Eggs were packaged under the Country Eggs, Inc brand name in 15 dozen bulk pack with the identifying plant code of P 1946 and P 1026. Julian code dates are 216-221. In addition to the latest recall by Country Eggs, the following brands are also involved in the egg recall: Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph’s, Boomsma’s, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms, Kemps, James Farms, Glenview and Pacific Coast.
