Country Day names new coach

Mark Greaney, Director of Premier Lacrosse Group and former stand-out at Wheeling Jesuit, has been named the new Head Coach at Detroit Country Day. Greaney replaces Byron Collins who left last month to take an assistant coaching position with Rutgers.

The Yellow Jackets came within one goal of winning the state title in Division II last year and Greaney will be called upon to put the pieces back together following the unexpected departure of Collins.

Greaney is a native of Michigan and has been coaching in the state for the past ten years. His experience runs from Wheeling Jesuit to Manchester, England to the University of Michigan.

The high school season begins on March 11, when the sticks, gloves, balls and helmets can officially be used.
