Counterfeiter booked for peddling fake Saints-Cowboys tickets on Bourbon Street

This past Saturday, New Orleans police arrested forty-one year old Calvin E. Harris of New York and booked him with selling counterfeit NFL tickets. Harris has been identified by an NFL bulletin as a person who was allegedly peddling counterfeit tickets. Harris was apprehended at around noon in the 200 block of Bourbon Street.

Eighth District officers Louis Labat and Tracie Medus were patrolling when they observed Harris selling tickets for the Saints-Cowboys game. The officers conducted an investigation and determined that the tickets in Harris’ possession were counterfeit. He was placed under arrest and was booked with Illegal Use of Counterfeit Trademark.

Officers confiscated approximately $2,700.00 in cash and seventeen counterfeit tickets. The suspect was also wanted in Texas on an outstanding warrant for selling counterfeit tickets. Harris has been convicted in Washington and New York for similar crimes.

Harris’ last known address was 1385 Washington Avenue in New York City.
