An insightful article into the preparation for this year's Rock Hall Induction Ceremony can be found in the latest online edition of RollingStone.com. Writer Andy Greene interviews Joel Perseman, CEO of the Rock Hall of Fame about this massive production, the ongoing drama involved with the members of KISS and much more.

Its interesting to note that in the 29 years of induction ceremonies, Thursday's event will mark the first time the Rock Hall has used a basketball arena (exception: The 25th anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden).

The Barclays Center is by far the largest venue ever to host this ceremony--by at least 6,000 seats-- compared to last year's event at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. But, will it sell out?

Perseman confirms in the article that future induction ceremonies will take place on a rotating basis between New York, Cleveland and Los Angeles (in that order).

Cleveland will host the 2015 ceremony. Its quite possible a venue the size of the CSU Convocation Center or even Quicken Loans Arena might be needed.

KISS, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt, Peter Gabriel, The E Street Band, Nirvana and Hall & Oates will be inducted on Thursday along with Lifetime Achievement Awards winners Andrew Loog Oldham and Brian Epstein.

Nirvana is being inducted in its first year of eligibility. Every other act was eligible for at least a dozen years. Artists become eligible 25 years after the release of the first album. See the list of rules here.

The Rock Hall will host a live broadcast of the event Thursday night on a 12 foot screen in the main lobby and on smaller screens in the Hall's lower level. Doors open at 7pm. The ceremony starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are $20.

HBO will air an edited 2 1/2 hour special sometime in May.
