On Wednesday evening, Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian will attend the Studio City Neighborhood Council Board Meeting and the community will get to meet CBS Studios exec Michael Klausman in a special honor.
The free meeting is held on the studio lot, the largest in Studio City, beginning at 7 p.m. and half an hour earlier, free food will be served by Joan's on Third, which is one of the area's newest restaurants.
The agenda also includes discussion of bees being kept only in the backyard, and a visit by Gracye Liu of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment, which is holding the general elections of the neighborhood group later this year.

President of the council, John Walker, sent out this reminder:
Dear Fellow Stakeholders:
There's been a lot going on in our community and one of the best places to be and learn first hand, is at your Studio City Neighborhood Council Board meetings. They always take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month on the CBS Studio Center at 6:30pm, and this month we are excited to welcome City Councilman Paul Krekorian and the General Manager of the Department Of Neighborhood Empowerment, Grayce Liu, as our guest speakers.
Come and listen to the Councilman speak to the specific issues that are of direct concern to us about our community; issue of transportation, our sidewalks and city streets, the budget and what's being planned for our future. There will be questions after, so now would be the perfect opportunity for you to have your own concerns addressed.
We will also be hearing from Ms. Gracye Liu, who will be sharing information about the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the coming Neighborhood Council elections.
At this meeting, we will also be showing our deep appreciation for two very special people at CBS , where the SCNC is housed. Mr. Michael Klausman, Senior Vice President, West Coast Operations and Engineering and President of CBS Studio Center, and Ms. Sandra Reed-Funnell, Executive Assistant and Administrator to Michael Klausman.
Our community rarely gets to meet and show our gratitude to these two, who give tirelessly to our community are often deep in the background. They offer us the machinery that helps us power everything for this Council. They allow us to facilitate meetings, hold events, and provide so much of their professional components from all departments so that we are able to operate on a level that other Neighborhood Councils can only wish for. These are two extraordinary individuals who give to all of us and at this meeting we will recognize and thank them for all they have done on behalf of Studio City.
I am also very pleased to announce that the food for this month’s meeting is being provided by one our newest Restaurants in Studio City -- recently listed as one of the Top Ten places to eat in Los Angeles -- Joan’s on Third. It's really wonderful food and a great addition to all the fantastic eateries we already have in our community.
Social time starts at 6:30pm, so come early to make sure you can get a taste and it’s a perfect time to meet your friends, neighbors and others in the community. You are always invited and this one should be an especially exciting and enjoyable evening.
We look forward to seeing you.
John T. Walker, Ph.D
