Could this be Art's final season on History Channel hit 'Ice Road Truckers'?

Lisa may be able to teach Art a few things if he will just listen--which is doubtful.

Tonight is an all-new episode of “Ice Road Truckers” and, as usual, fans can expect to see friction on the ice. Last week, the Season Premiere set the stage--pretty much Hugh and Alex against everybody else--and from here on out, expect trouble and mayhem to follow on this History Channel favorite.

Overall, there were no huge surprises from last week’s episode. One driver who I was personally looking forward to seeing again was Art. Was he going to be the driver who turned that golden corner and made everyone see just why he is driving the ice roads? But, no. Art was the same ol’ Art, basically incompetent. Not sure if he just does not pay attention, does not know how to read a map, or what, but it was easy to see right from the start why Hugh dumped him last season. Once again, he was missing turns and losing time because he had no idea where he was. So, will Polar Industries wind up doing the same as VP Express and dumping him after a few screw ups, or will he finally show that he can consistently do a good job? We’ll just have to wait and see.

This week, on episode, “Rushin’ Roulette,” Mother Nature is in charge, according to History Channel:

It's a race against Mother Nature as the ice road truckers rush to get critical loads delivered while the storm of the century approaches. Lisa and Art face a deadly shutdown on the ice, while a feud between Darrell and Todd threatens to rip team Polar apart. And a heavy pad on thin ice has Alex searching for divine assistance.

Maybe Lisa can save the day and give ol’ Art some tips to get him to another level of trucking. Then again, even if she can, he undoubtedly will not listen; he’s not exactly open to the realization that, in fact, he could stand to learn a little about driving on the ice roads. Good luck, Art; would not be surprised if this is your final season with “Ice Road Truckers,” but, then again, you just never know with reality TV.

“Ice Road Truckers” airs on History Channel on Monday nights at 10/9c.
