The "hardcore legend" Mick Foley made his long awaited return to the WWE last fall. However, Foley's days as a main event wrestler are well behind him. But that doesn't mean that Foley doesn't have some ideas on what the WWE could do with him on TV. According to a Monday February 13th report by SilverVision.co.uk, Foley made the following comments about a potential tag-team with Santino:
"I could always be IN a match, but i think my days at or near the top of the card are behind me. But the Rumble showed that there might be a market for a Santino/Foley team...maybe a 'Crouching Cobra, Hidden Socko' type of thing."
At the Royal Rumble in January, Foley and Santino had a contest of wills as Mr. Socko and The Cobra battled it out. The wrestling fans found great humor in this battle and it seemed that the two hit it off. With the WWE's non-existent tag-team division desperately needing some infusion of entertainment, Foley and Santino could provide some comic relief which is more than anything else going on with the tag-team titles.
The WWE has long forgotten a division that had such historical significance and a legacy of talent. It's disappointing to see the WWE's lack of commitment to this once proud division. Even if Foley and Santino only team up for a few months, at least the tag-titles will get some television attention.
