Could Ron Paul be the best thing to happen to the Republican Party?

In a recently released YouTube video, Chris Harlan, a former Obama Field Organizer turned Ron Paul volunteer and activist utters some very profound words.

In this video, Mr. Harlan has just met Ron Paul at a campaign event and admits that he was quite star-struck upon meeting Dr. Paul.  Chris wanted him to know that he has a lot more support within the Black community than he may think.  What is really profound is that he expresses that Ron Paul has the potential to change the demographics of the Republican Party for years to come.

For anyone that has studied the facts and history behind the beginning of the Republican Party, one would find it hard to believe, given today's demographics of the Democratic Party, that it was actually the "Radical Republicans" as they were once called that led the charge against racism.

As Mr. Harlan so excitedly speaks about his meeting with Ron Paul, he speculates that possibly he has the potential to bring back the Black community to the Republican Party.

It is actually sad that many other countries have far more choices of prominent party affiliations and offer more opportunities for the average citizenry to become actively involved in the political process and actually possess a much freer access to the ballot for people with a wide range of diverse views.  It was our Founding Fathers that referred to political parties as "Factions" and warned against the danger of their rise in power.  They had hoped that factions would be able to be kept in check and not gain too much control by assuming that there would surely be so many of them rising to prominence in America that they would not be able to gain complete control over the electoral process.  Unfortunately, that is not what has happened and we are all suffering the effects and the very dangers that our Founding Fathers were worried about and warned against.  Their greatest fear from factions was perhaps the danger of only two coming to prominence and the age-old matter of a divide and conquer scenario developing in which all the control in reality would be both factions becoming united behind the scenes against a very divided We The People.

Regardless of current serious problems that exist in our election process, it is a very interesting prospect that possibly Ron Paul's run for President is having such a profound effect on our population and uniting groups of people that were once divided by ideology that is damaging to our nation.  This brings back to mind in so many ways the profound words of Ron Paul when he had stated, "I am not just running to get elected, I am trying to change the course of history!" Since our nation in so many ways is on such a dangerous path which has already led to the loss of many freedoms, then changing the course of history is exactly what the American people need right now.

With the grace of God, we must pray, turn from our wicked ways and ask him to heal our land for we are quickly heading back to a life of bondage.  Our country needs someone that is offering to change its course in a dramatic way and actually bring us back to where we once began.  Bring us back to our own rule of law, the US Constitution which once restrained a central government and demanded the protection of individual, unalienable freedoms to our people with equality and justice for all.  Believers must remind ourselves that no matter how bad the situation may appear to be........God is still in charge!

A shout out to Chris Harlan, his video message provided a much needed breath of fresh air and hope to a nation sorely in need of both.
