Could 'Grand Theft Auto V' be hitting store shelves earlier than expected?

According to an article released yesterday on idigitaltimes.com, it may well be. They provide several new reports of people claiming to know the game's release date due to an email. The email in question was sent to several people who have preordered the game and lists the ship date as March 24, 2013.

Does this mean that the game will be hitting stores then? Honestly, I would not count on it. It does give a bit of hope, as the first email quoted stated, "Usually if it's not known, they say TBA," however. Of course, the same guy goes on to remind everybody, "..that doesn't mean it's true, though." If we look at the release dates for Grand Theft Auto 3 and on, most have hit shelves in October or April, with only Chinatown Wars being released in March (DS), October (PSP), and January (IOS).

When all is said in done, it seems more likely that the date is incorrect. If we ignore the previous months of release of the games from GTA3 and on (barring Chinatown Wars on DS), at least one commentor on that article's site believes it is highly unlikely for one reason: They don't believe a new game will be released on a Sunday. While it may be true that games are typically released on Tuesdays, there have indeed been cases of Sunday releases. It would also be possible that the preorders would ship (depending on the shipping method, anyway. Obviously USPS and similar that do not run on Sunday would not.) a couple of days before the game hit shelves so that people who preordered and wanted it shipped to their home would get it around the same time, or even a day earlier in some cases.

So what do you think? Is this rumour believable? Is it a system (or other kind of) error of some sort? Or is it just another hoax? Let us know in the comments.
